Phone Sex for Free? Is that even possible?

Recently, was talking with a caller about phone sex and the general subject of phone chat and I thought I’d share some of this conversation with you.

Now, unless you are entirely void of erotic impulses, or live on another planet, phonesex has become part of our life from the moment it was used. People have been using the phone to have sex for a long, long time. The very first telephone transmission was held in 1854, and this very short conversation revolutionized the world. An object of luxury in the hands of the very rich, it soon became more and more accessible  for the rest of society.  Forward several decades and the telephone is seen as a necessity by the large majority of people throughout the world.  Sex, good old sex has always had a keen eye on technology.  And so it was that soon, phone and sex became one the many iteration of this wonderful invention and today, in spit of the many technological advances like web cams, the telephone remains one of the most exciting ways for two people (sometimes more) to have sex with one another.

Back in the days, certainly before I was around, phone sex was given the realm of the 900 numbers and it became a behemoth in terms of a business model.  But calling someone for sex using a 900 number was certainly not cheap, and this wasn’t even the only issues attached to said 900 numbers.  Many “unscrupulous” operators, on both sides, callers and providers abused the system to the extent that the feds had to intervene.

Thus began the era of the toll free 800 sex numbers leading to cheap phone sex. Rather than charging callers through their telephone company, provides allowed them to call for free and took payment by credit card.

This is the model that is enduring to this day.  It enables the caller to pick and choose which company he is going to use and most of us are more than happy with this.  Over the years, a limited number of providers have thrived (me included) whilst countless others have come and gone
